Ordinance NO. 2 Ladies and Gentlemen: I will be unable to attend the April 18, 2011 Town Council Meeting for the second reading of REOP Ordinance NO. 2. 1 would ask that the Town Council approve the second reading of this Ordinance. 1 still strongly believe that commercial properties must be allowed to choose improvements that enhance their guests experience and improve the safety of these guests. I do not feel it should be the Town's role to set such exorbitant fees as to prohibit properties from inaking necessary life safety improvements, especially when it adversely affects our citizens and guest experience. However, the Town Staff and Town Council has worked very hard on this ordinance and reached a workable compromise, which is why I aslc that you approve the second reading. I also applaud the Town Council for their foresight to allow off sight solar mitigation, which also satisf es the intent of the REOP.
