Town Council Resolution 86 1983TOWN OF SNOWMASS VILLAGE TOWN COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 86 SERIES OF 1983 A RESOLUTION INDICATING INTENT TO WITHDRAW FROM THE STATE FIRE AND POLICE PENSION PLAN. WHEREAS, the Town of Snowmass Village is presently maintaining police employees in the State Fire and Police Pension Plan; and WHEREAS, the Town Marshal has invesigated alternative pension plans for the purpose of improving the department's current benefit package; and WHEREAS, the Town of Snowmass Village wishes to exercise control of the cost of funding a retirement program for said employees; and WHEREAS, the affected police employees of the Town of Snowmass Village have expressed a strong interest in establishing an alternative to the current State plan; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Snowmass Village, Colorado: Section One. That the Town of Snowmass Village intends to withdraw from the State of Colorado Fire and Police Pension Association for the purpose of establishing an improved and greater cost effective retirement plan. Section Two. That the Notice of Intent to Withdraw is filed pursuant to Colorado Revised Statute 31-30-1003.(2)(b), as amended, with intended date of withdrawal from the Fire and Police Pension Association hereby se at January 1, 1985. INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by the Town Council of the Town of Snowmass Village, Colorado, on this 19th day of December, 1983, by a vote of 6 to 0 Councilmember Bedford was absent from this portion of the meeting.
