Town Council Resolution 39 1983TOWN OF SNOWMASS VILLAGE TOWN COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 39 SERIES OF 1983 A RESOLUTION GRANTING TEMPORARY USE PERMIT NO. 1, SERIES OF 1983, TO SNOWMASS BALLOON RACES, INC. FOR THE ANNUAL BALLOON RACE. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 19, Series of 1980, requires the Town Council to review all applications for the temporary use of certain zone districts; and WHEREAS, the Town Council has received an application for a Temporary Use Permit from Snowmass Balloon Races, Inc. and has found it to be in compliance with the policies and regulations of the Town and not violative of applicable state, county and federal laws, and; WHEREAS, the applicant has met all the requirements of Ordinance No. 19, Series of 1980, including providing proof of insurance, a letter indemnifying the Town against all claims and losses and a letter of agreement with the Snowmass Company, Ltd., owners of the land, allowing such use of the land, and such documents are on file; and WHEREAS, the Town Council held a public hearing on May 16, 1983, to receive public comment on said application in accordance with the provisions of No. 19, Series of 1980. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Snowmass Village, Colorado. Section One: That the Town Council does hereby grant Temporary Use Permit No. 1, Series of 1983, to the Snowmass Balloon Races, Inc. for the use of the Intercept Lot and the pasture area upvalley from the Intercept Lot for the annual balloon race providing the Applicant continues to meet all of the requirements set forth in Ordinance No. 19, Series of 1980. Section Two: That this Temporary Use Permit is granted for a period of five years, summer of 1983 through the summer of 1988, subject to the annual review requirements set forth in Ordinance No. 19, Series of 1980. INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by the Town Council of the Town of Snowmass Village, Colorado on this 16th day of May , 1983, by a vote of 5 to 0 . Mayor Tippett and Councilmember Bedford were absent.
